Liverpool Return For Steven Gerrard? (Or Not)

Must read

The chances of Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard making a playing return to the club where he spent the major part of his career are slim.

Reports had it that the former Reds captain who has finished his debut MLS season with LA Galaxy will return to his boyhood club to train and possibly play while the MLS is on break.

Omnisport claims the 35-year-old has spoken to new Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp but only to wish him well. They are expected to meet again in the coming weeks. Gerrard is expected to train with his former team while the American soccer league is on break but it is unlikely he will play for the Reds.

In October 2015, MLS chief Don Garber played down the possibility of a Liverpool loan deal for Gerrard. LA Galaxy is keen to avoid facing the situation they found themselves when former England international missed some part of the MLS season while on-loan at AC Milan.
