Lionel Messi is all kinds of a winner!
Days after he became the the leading scorer in La Liga history, the Barcelona FC striker moved to the top of all-time scoring list in the Champions League.
The 27-year-old superstar recorded his historic 72nd career goal in the Champion League with a quick touch against APOEL in a Group F match in Cyprus on Tuesday, November 25, 2014.
Messi scored two more goals in the match which ended at 4-0 with Barcelona on top.
Previously, the title of the highest scoring goal in the European champions league was held by Real Madrid’s striker Raul. Raul stood at 71 goals.
Cristiano Ronaldo is hot on the heels of Messi, however with 4 goes behind Messi’s 74 record.
