Nollywood stars, friends, relatives, and fans attended who attended the funeral of the late Nollywood icon Amaka Igwe on Friday, June 13, 2014 at her husband’s village in Ndiuche Arondizuogu, Imo State.
Igwe, Nollywood’s veteran film maker and scriptwriter passed away on Monday, April 29, 2014 in Enugu after a brief asthma attack.
She was on a business trip with her husband for a pre-production in preparation for a new Igbo soap opera when the sad incident occurred.
A procession of cars followed the hearse carrying her casket as it headed towards her father’s compound in Obinagu Udi Enugu state before the burial rites proper in Imo State.
