Movie producer, director and actor, Kunle Afolayan stormed his Twitter page on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 with hateful messages against the Igbo tribe.
The actor and producer blamed the Igbos largely for the problem of piracy inherent in the country.
The reaction he got from fans were possibly beyond what he bargained for, so he took to the same medium and apologized in series of Tweets for stepping on toes.
Am really sorry if my Igbo fans and friends feel offended.I am just so bitter and pained. I am truly sorry.

A large number of people linked his sudden outbursts on the threat by the Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu, cajoling the Igbo residents to vote his preferred governorship candidate, Akinwumi Ambode or face a terminal penalty of death inside water.
However, Afolayan waved off the claims, stressing that he vented his anger against the Igbos based on frustration.
Finally, I stand to say my grievances has got nothing to do with the trending Oba’s statement. It all came out of frustration. Sorry guys.
