Femi Fani-Kayode, a former aviation minister, has backed Bishop of Sokoto Catholic Diocese, Mathew Hassan Kukah over his Christmas day message.
Fani-Kayode said Bishop Kukah’s remark was the “bitter truth.”
Kukah, in his Christmas Day message had accused President Muhammadu Buhari-led government of nepotism.
The clergyman said there would have been a coup if a non-Northern Muslim had become president and did some of the things Buhari was doing.
Bishop Kukah’s message had stirred up mixed reactions from Nigerians.
However, the former minister, in a tweet on Sunday, December 27, 2020, wrote: “Bishop Kukah has courageously spoken the bitter truth and called a spade a spade.
Bishop Kukah has courageously spoken the bitter truth & called a spade a spade. Those that are not comfortable with his words and are not ready to accept that truth should go & jump in the lagoon or hug a transformer. Kukah has said what I have been saying for the last 5 years!
