In what appears to be the most high-profile direct reaction to President Muhammadu Buhari’s insult of his wife, Aisha, Senator Binta Garba announced that she is ‘proud to be in the kitchen and, even, the other room’.
Senator Garba made this declaration on the floor of the Nigerian Senate as she spoke on the return of the 21 Chibok girls who were freed by Boko Haram a fortnight ago.
The video was recorded on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 and shared on Facebook by the Nigerian Senate’s official page.
