A group of unknown men believed to be kidnappers, in the early hours of Monday, July 6, 2015 abducted a six-year-old boy, Master Eyo Antigha in Calabar.
The victim is said to be the son of Michael Antigha, the proprietor of a school named, Faith Nursery/ Primary School in Calabar South.
An eye witness, Vanguard reports, who lives opposite the school said the suspected kidnapper waited for the boy at the entrance of the school and as soon as the boy alighted from the vehicle that brought him to school he was whisked away into a waiting speed boat.
He said, “We have been noticing an increase in the number of strange people living around our area as squatters in this Anantigha area recently and we suspect they have been responsible for the incessant kidnappings of people in Calabar of recent.”
Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officers, ASP Hogan Bassey, noted that efforts are made to see to the safe release of the boy.
