A young Georgia boy who was kidnapped from his driveway may have saved his own life by singing a gospel song.
After a man snαtched nine year old Willie Myrick, he drove around with the boy for some time before dropping off young Willie in the city of East Point.
At Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Willie shared with churchgoers what he’d been through. He says the man who abducted him kept yelling at him and telling him to shut up “f*ck boy”, but Willie refused. The next thing the boy knew, he was been freed from the clutches of his captor.
“He opened the door and threw me out,” Willie said. “He told me not to tell anyone.”
The story even got gospel singer Hezekiah Walker’s attention.
“It’s just emotional to me because you never know who you’re going to touch,” Walker told 11Alive’s Blayne Alexander.
Walker even traveled from New York to Atlanta to meet Willie.
“I just wanted to hug him and tell him I love him,” Walker said.
At Mt. Carmel, Walker hugged young Willie as the church crowd stood and applauded.
“I really believe that God spoke through me to save that young man’s life,” Walker said.
The man who kιdnapped Willie has not been found.
