The nanny responsible for the kidnap of three of her employer’s children in Lagos, who was arrested on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 by operatives of the Lagos State Command of the Nigerian Police Force, Mary Akinloye (not her real names) has confessed that the kidnap she carried out was not the first.
She said her “team” which consists of her brother-in-law, sister-in-law, her husband and herself had in December 2014 connived to kidnap two kids – Raphael and Michael Esharegan – from their home in Magodo area of Lagos State where she had been contracted to work from the same online portal, OLX.
She further revealed that they were paid N2 million from the Magodo kidnap and got N30,000 as her share.
The mother of four also availed that she was not 23 years old as earlier claimed, begging the Orekoya family to forgive her.
She said in Yoruba: “It was not my fault. Mrs Orekoya, you were very nice to me and you took care of me. I was pushed to do it.”
