Fighter Jets belonging to the Kenyan military on Monday, April 6, 2015 carried out air strikes on positions of Islamist militant group, Al-Shabaab in Somalia.
According to a Kenyan military spokesman David Obonyo who spoke to BBC, two camps belonging to the terrorists have been destroyed in Somalia’s Gedo region, which is used by the insurgents to gain access into Kenya.
Obonyo said the attack was a response to the Al-Shabaab’s threat to Kenya in the aftermath of the Garissa University attack which left 148 people dead.
