The National Commercial Tricycle and Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (NACTMORAN) on Thursday, January 15, 2015 endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan as its candidate ahead of the Saturday, February 14, 2015 general elections.
This was made known by the national grand patron of the association, Yusufu Ameh Obaje at an emergency National Executive Committee meeting of NACTMORAN convened to reiterate its earlier stance ahead of the polls.
Obaje said: “For us NACTMORAN, we maintain our earlier position to vote en masse for President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s re-election. By doing so, we stand for patriotism and equity, for continuity and progress, for solidarity with the people of South-South, who have always supported the North politically and the rest of the country economically by enduring the devastation of their homeland for our common wealth.”
Obaje further stated that within the last four years. the country had experienced “rehabilitation, reconstruction, restructuring, relaying, rebuilding and repositioning of developmental foundation for a new Nigeria”.
NACTMORAN’s National President, Sani Mohammed Hassan, re-echoed Obaje, stating the association was solidly behind President Jonathan’s re-election bid.
