KANO, Nigeria – Abdullahi Idris, a resident of Rimi town in Sumaila Local Government Area, has been arraigned in a Kano State Sharia court for allegedly setting his girlfriend, Sa’adatu Ibrahim, ablaze after she turned down his marriage proposal.
Idris, who had been in a relationship with Ibrahim, a divorced woman, for only seven days, is facing serious charges of malice, arson, and attempted murder.
