SAG HARBOR, USA — Pop superstar Justin Timberlake was arrested late last night in Sag Harbor, New York, for allegedly driving while intoxicated, according to a spokesperson for the Sag Harbor Police Department.
Timberlake remains in police custody and is expected to appear in court Wednesday morning, as confirmed by a spokesperson for the Sag Harbor Justice Court.
News outlets reached out to representatives for Timberlake for comment but has yet to receive a response.
Sag Harbor, a picturesque village in the Hamptons on eastern Long Island, is where the incident took place.
According to a source familiar with the matter, Timberlake had left the American Hotel shortly before his arrest.
A statement from the Sag Harbor Police is anticipated later today to provide more details on the arrest.
Timberlake is currently touring with his latest album, “Everything I Thought It Was,” and is scheduled to perform at the United Center in Chicago this Friday.
