Ndidi Winifred, athlete representing Nigeria in the ongoing Commonwealth Games, has won a Silver Medal in Women’s 58kg after a tough competition.
The competition held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 in Glasgow, United Kingdom.
The women’s 58 kg weightlifting event was the second lightest women’s event at the weightlifting competition, limiting competitors to a maximum of 58 kilograms of body mass.
Michaela Breeze from Wales got the Bronze medal while the Gold medal went to 20-year-old Zoe Smith from England.
Nigeria won its first Gold Medal on Friday, July 25, 2014 after Chika Amalaha has won the 53kg category of the women’s weightlifting event.
