All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors on the invitation of Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha, will on Monday, June 8, 2015 hold a meeting to iron out the current crisis rocking the party over allocation of offices in the incoming House of Assembly.
The meeting will be held at the Imo Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja with sources claiming that the meeting is to be held in order to prevent the party from an impending breakup or a situation where the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will capitalize on the in-fighting of the APC and take control.
Okorocha, who is the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum issued the invitation letter for the meeting which read thus:
“Your Excellency, I am directed to invite you to emergency meeting of Progressive Governors scheduled to hold as flows: Time: 8.00 pm; date: Monday, June 8, 2015; venue: Imo Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja; agenda: national assembly matters, A. O. B,
“HE Owelle Rochas Okorocha appealed that Your Excellencies please create time to attend both this important meeting in order to find amicable resolutions of all contentious issues.”
It is unclear if the legislators will be part of the meeting.
