No fewer than 15 persons were reported dead in a fresh blast instigated by a female suicide bomber at the Damaturu Sunday market in Yobe State.
The Improvised Explosive Devices went off around 9:30am on Sunday, July 26, 2015 when buying and selling activities were already ongoing at the market.
Unconfirmed report indicated that the explosion was detonated at the entrance of the market by a suspected female suicide bomber aged between 19 and 20.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, an eye witness counted 15 dead bodies at the scene while unspecified number of injured persons were rushed to the hospital.
It is not yet certain if the insurgents loyal to Boko Haram Islamist Sect are responsible for the attack but they have been at the helms of several attacks across the nation for over ten years.
Another eye witness, Mallam Samaila Audu said, ”A girl of around 20 blew herself up at the entrance of Sunday Market in Damaturu near sugar cane and chicken sellers.”
