Unknown gunmen on Monday, November 17, 2014 attacked a a school in Minna, the Niger State capital.
The attack happened at about 10:30 am at Limawa Primary and Secondary School with the assailants shooting sporadically and attacking the students with machetes.
Niger State Police Public Relations Officer Ibrahim Gambari confirmed the incident, although he stated that the situation has been put under control.
The number of casualties is yet to be ascertained.
