Senators on the platform of the All Progressive Congress have nominated Senator Ali Ndume of Borno state as Majority Leader contrary to the wishes of the party.
Senator Bala Ibn Na’alla, a former house of representative member representing from Kebbi state WAS also nominated as the deputy the majority leader.
The Senate also nominated Francis Alimikhena, from Edo State, as Deputy Chief Whip.
It would be recalled that the leadership of the All Progressive Congress proposed their candidates, Ahmed Lawan and George Akume who lost out on the leadership of the senate for the role of senate leader and deputy.
No name has been given for the post of Chief Whip yet.
