There was drama today in Ekiti State as seven members of the State House of Assembly reportedly impeached the Speaker of the House, Adewale Omirin.
Sahara Reporters reports that the seven members were guided into the assembly complex by Mobile Police Commander, Selenkere Michael, as nineteen other members of the house, including the Speaker, Omirin were prevented from gaining entry into the complex by heavily armed policemen.
The seven-man house later elected one Olugbemi as the speaker.
