Former Borussia Dortmund manager, Jürgen Klopp has been unveiled as the new manager of Liverpool. He has has signed a three-year contract which is worth about £5m a year and could rise to £7m when bonuses are considered.
Since his departure from Dortmund in May, Klopp had been linked to many top European sides. He is now saddled with the task of rebuilding the Anfield club.

After apologizing for his English, Klopp went on to explain why he took the Liverpool job:
“It’s the biggest honour I can imagine. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world. I will try to help the club but it is not as difficult as many people in the room here think. I was attracted by the intensity of the football and the fans. It’s perfect to be here.”
The 48-year-old noted that he felt refreshed after his four months holiday.
“I am really looking forward to the first training session and the first match [against Spurs]. I am refreshed after my four-month holiday”
Klopp proved his great sense of humour when he was asked if he knew how popular he was in England. He described him as the ‘normal one’. His response was a dig at Jose Mourinho’s ‘special one’ statement years ago.
“I am the normal one. You can have this. I am just an average guy from the Black Forest who was an average player,” he said with a smile.
Liverpool goes away to Tottenham for their next premier league game on Saturday, October 17, 2015.
