Mr. Cyril Dume Wite, the special advisor to Governor Nyesom Wike on Special Projects on Monday, April 4, 2016 embarked on an on-the-spot assessment of flooded parts of Port Harcourt/Aba Express Way.
Wite visited St. John’s Bus Stop, Market Bus Stop, and First Bank Bus Stop all along the busy express road. He was accompanied by representatives of construction giant, Julius Berger.
The team, led by Wite, who is now considered as the acting Commissioner of Works for the Rivers State, held discussions with authorities of the Air Force Base towards ameliorating difficulties experienced by commuters along the road.
Wite appealed to motorists and stakeholders in the community to apply patience while the government workes on fixing the problem in flooding which has been a long-standing problem along the road.
Aba Road in Port Harcourt is a federal road, but Governor Nyesom Wike has undertaken the task of ending flooding on the road, Wite revealed to stakeholders on the inspection. The governor had also mandated Julius Berger to deploy its expertise to being a permanent end to the flooding problem.
