Former captain of Nigeria’s senior male national team, the Super Eagles, Austin ‘Jay-jay’ Okocha has been elected as Chairman of the Delta State Football Association after polling 26 out of 27 votes vast at the election which was held at the Delta State capital, Asaba and supervised Babagana Kalli, a member of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF)
Okocha, who played for the Super Eagles from 1993 to 2006 had previously served as Vice Chairman of the Delta FA to Amaju Melvin Pinnick, who was elected President of the NFF on Tuesday, September 30, 2014.
Okocha also serves as the current head of the NFF technical study group.
