Bryan Marshall, a British actor best known for his role in James Bond, has died at the age of 81.
Bryan was famous for playing Commander Talbot in the 007 movie, The Spy Who Loved Me, as well as starring in Australian daytime soap Neighbours. Confirming the sad news, Marshall’s agent Esta Charkham from ECA tweeted on Wednesday: ‘So sad that my dear old chum Bryan Marshall has gone on ahead.

His credits are a catalogue of classic British and Australian TV. ‘Fare Forward Dearest Bryan.’ Marshall, born in Battersea, London, began his acting career in the 1960s with a breakout role in Alfie alongside Michael Caine.
He went onto star as Councillor Harris in crime flick The Long Good Friday, but he will also be remembered for playing Commander Talbot in 1977’s The Spy Who Loved Me.
Starring alongside Roger Moore, Marshall’s character had his submarine captured at the beginning of the film before later being rescued by Bond.
In addition to Neighbours, the actor also made an appearance in another Australian daytime soap, Home & Away.
Aside from his acting roles, Marshall flexed his presenting skills and hosted Australia’s Most Wanted in 1989, a version of hit US series America’s Most Wanted.
Tributes have poured in for the respected actor, with one fan tweeting: ‘Sad news. He was always good vfm in everything he appeared in RIP Bryan.
