Jada Pinkett Smith is defending her daughter, Willow Smith, over a controversial photo of the 13-year-old singer lying on a bed next to 20-year-old actor Moises Arias, who is shirtless in the picture. According to Willow’s mother, the questionable photo is being misconstrued as sexual.

“Here’s the deal: There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation,” Pinkett Smith told TMZ on camera in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (May 7). “You guys are projecting your trash onto it, and you’re acting like covert pedophiles, and that’s not cool.”
The black-and-white photo, which was posted by Arias on Tuesday, shows the former “Hannah Montana” star without a shirt and sitting up in a bed next to Smith, who is fully clothed. The pic was deleted from his Instagram account but remains on his Tumblr account.
In other Willow news, the “Whip My Hair” performer reached out to Miley Cyrus on Twitter with the simple message, “let’s sing together soon.” Smith has yet to release a debut album, after “Whip My Hair” peaked at No. 11 on the Hot 100 in 2010.
