INEC Begins Inspections Of Political Party Offices In Ogun

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has begun the inspection of political party offices in Ogun State.

This electoral umpire said this would be done by the Election and Political Party Monitoring Department, EPM.

In a letter written to political parties in Ogun on January 6 by the Head of Election and Party Monitoring, Akanbi Gabriel Abidakun, the visit was to ascertain the addresses of their offices.

Abidakun added that the visit was also to inspect the inner workings of the parties and meet physically with the state executives of the parties.

According to a copy of the letter sighted by journalists, a timetable has been drawn for the 17 political parties in Ogun

“Further to the activities of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Election and Political Party Monitoring Department (EPM) will embark on a visit to all Political Party offices in the state.

“The visit primarily is to ascertain the addresses of political party offices and inspect the inner workings of the parties and meet physically with the state executives of the parties.

“Find attached a time table for the visit to all the 17 political parties in the state,” the letter read in part.
