Embattled Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Sunday Onyebuchi Wednesday evening beat the one week deadline handed over to him by the State House of Assembly to respond to the Impeachment Notice served on him last week Thursday.
The Clerk of the House, Christopher Chukwurah had served the impeachment notice on the deputy governor through substituted means as directed by the House last week.
But, sources at the House told ThisDay, Wednesday evening that the deputy governor has responded to the allegations of gross misconduct leveled against him by 22 out of 24 members of the State legislature.
“Yes he has replied but its not yet public,” the source noted.
However, ThisDay check revealed that the deputy governor had denied the allegations leveled against him in the notice of impeachment.
