A pervert has been captured by the husband of one of his victims as he was busy peeping and snapping a photo of another woman’s under skirt.
John Wiggins, 55, used a cellphone camera to snap his own shots unknown to him that another man was snapping him with his own device at the Walmart in Short Pump.
Wiggins was later arrested by Henrico Police for allegedly violating two women by using his smart phone to snap pictures under their skirts on Sunday, May 31, 2015.
Officers said one victim became very uneasy when he bumped into her in the middle of the store and pretended to drop something in the store.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 the woman whose husband snapped the photo said, “If it can happen to me, it can happen to you.”
She further added that Wiggins dropped a box of pasta on the floor as a distraction and as an excuse for him to reach down to get closer to the floor and into the perfect spot to take a shot of her underskirt.
She said, “It started in the shampoo department and that’s when it happened the first time.
“I just turned the aisle and he looked directly at me and I felt his guilt.”
She revealed how her husband subsequently followed the pervert around the super mart just to catch him red-handed.
That’s when he snapped the photo of a woman in a green and blue striped dress wearing flip-flops reaching for an item in the spice section, according to WTVR CBS 6.
The suspect was seen squatting down to lower what appears to be a cellphone under his unsuspecting victim’s dress.
Speaking after the man was exposed, the victim disclosed that she has since changed her shopping routine.
She said, “I definitely haven’t worn a dress out shopping — and I don’t know when I’ll do that again.”
It was further gathered from students at Clover Hill High School that Wiggins worked at the school as a teacher’s aide.
A student of the school , Jayla Boyd said, “He didn’t really say much, he would just sit in the back.”
The student added that Wiggins appeared in her social studies class and that at one time he coached wrestling.
It was learnt from Chesterfield Public Schools on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 that Wiggins has been expelled from the school system.
Meanwhile, his daughter said, “My dad is obviously struggling with mental illness. My family and I are being affected greatly by this situation.”
