Some residents of Lagos State were on Sunday, March 15, 2020, thrown into confusion following an explosion.
Several houses were shaken by the explosion, while some collapsed at the Abule-Ado Junction.
It was learned that the explosion came from Abule-Ado junction, Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Lagos.
The cause of the explosion has, however, not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
Confirming the explosion, the Federal Service took to its Twitter page advising the resident to stay away from the affected site.
A total of eleven bodies have so far been recovered from the scene of the Abule Ado gas pipeline explosion in Lagos State.
This information was provided to the press on Sunday, March 15, 2020 by Femi Oke-Osanyintiolu, the boss of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA.
“With the rescue process in top gear, more bodies are likely to be recovered,” he is quoted as saying. “Remote, immediate cause of explosion yet to be ascertained, still under investigation.”

The agency assured that its men are on ground to ascertain the cause of the explosion.
