These shocking pictures show the devastating injuries caused by a bouncer to a man who wouldn’t leave a pub.

Tragic Scott Taylor, 42, was left with severe brain damage and these horrific head injuries after being viciously attacked by bouncer Neil Hotchkiss.

Scott, a father-of-three, was knocked out cold with a single punch, hitting the pavement with such force his skull caved in and left him with extensive brain damage and in a wheelchair.

Mr Taylor was left with a huge dent that made it look as if half his head was missing.

His skull had to be re-shaped using fat from his stomach.

Father-of-eight Hotchkiss, 33, from Telford, Shrops, was jailed for 16 months after admitting causing grievous bodily harm.

Recorder Adrian Jack told him: “As far as the Taylor family are concerned, any sentence I pass on you will be grievously inadequate for the very serious injuries suffered by Mr Taylor.

“He will never make a full recovery. I have to accept, however, that you did not intend to cause this sort of injury.”

Mr Taylor’s daughter Kirsty, 19, branded the sentence a ‘disgrace’ after the hearing.

She added: “My dad’s life is ruined. He can’t get up, he can’t get out of bed, he can’t even sit up himself.

“I am just so angry that it is such a short sentence when the sentence my dad has is for life.”

Shrewsbury Crown Court was told the incident happened in August 2012 outside the Bar Station hotel in Wellington when the two men argued after Mr Taylor was asked to leave because he was drunk.

Mr Andrew Wilkins, prosecuting, said: “Mr Taylor was clearly not doing what he had been told to do – but, on the other hand, he was not being violent or aggressive.

“Hotchkiss dramatically over-reacted and the consequences were very dramatic.

“Mr Taylor collided heavily with the pavement and suffered a skull fracture and extensive brain damage. He is in a wheelchair, has difficulty communicating and doing the things he did before.”
