A traveler has narrated a horrific encounter he had with kidnappers along Abuja-Kaduna Expressway on Friday, September 4, 2020 were travelers were shot at and abducted.
Ibrahim Baba Suleiman narrated on Facebook how the gunmen blocked the road and unleashed an attack on travelers.
The kidnappers began operation at 2pm by blocking the road near Olam company, about 28 kilometres to Kaduna. They abducted many travelers and injured those who attempted to flee.
According to Mr Suleiman, a soldier who was fleeing the scene was shot on the chest. Civilians who attempted to flee were also shot..
He said the incident had kept more than 1, 000 motorists stranded on the road. It wasn’t until an hour later that some soldiers and policemen numbering 15, chased the gunmen and cleared the road for the motorists to pass.
