A group of unknown assailants have re reportedly scaled through a school’s fence and hacked a female pupil to death in Fagge Special Primary School, Kano State.
The decomposing remains of the victim who is yet to be identified was discovered in the school’s pit toilet where it was dumped around 1pm on Wednesday, May 20, 2015.
It was gathered that the deceased and one other pupil were kidnapped by the rebels amidst beehive of activities in the school.
The deceased was attacked and dumped in the toilet together with a male pupil who fortunately survived the attack.
Speaking to Punch, a night guard on the premises, Mallam Ibrahim Sariki, described the incident as a shock to all.
He said, “About 1 pm, some hoodlums jumped over the school fence and abducted two pupils ─ a male and a female ─ who were dragged into the toilet and subsequently stabbed in the head. The female pupil died, but the male pupil survived the attack.”
The state police spokesperson, ASP Musa Majiya, who confirmed the incident said the school authority immediately intimated the police about the incident which prompted them to storm the scene.
He said, “On arrival, the police team met the victims in a pool of blood. The policemen rushed them to a hospital, where the female pupil was confirmed dead. The male pupil is receiving treatment.”
According to him, an ongoing investigation has been launched into the matter to unravel the mystery surrounding the attack.
