Super Eagles is set to depart with 19 players for Cote d’I Voire and Sudan international friendlies at the United Arab Emirates on Thursday, January 8, 2015.
Ben Alaiya, Media Officer of the team, told Goal on Friday, January 2, 2015 that the team had begun training and is in high spirits ahead of the friendly games and that modalities are at advance stage for the team to depart from the country on Thursday, January 2, 2014 to continue with the rest of the preparations in Abu Dhabi.
“We are leaving for UAE hopefully on Thursday,” Alaiya said.
“We are at an advance stage in our preparation and we are leaving any stone unturned in our bid to ensure that the country is well represented.
Alaiya also added that the team shall strive to ensure a consistent match for the team to get busy throughout the year before the next qualifiers begins.
“Even though we couldn’t qualify for the Africa Cup of nations, we are looking at other options that we will explore to keep the team busy before the start of the qualifiers.
