Gunmen Kidnap Commissioners 78-Year-Old Mother In Bayelsa

While kidnapping has been declared a capital punishment in some states like Edo state, perpetrators of the dastardly  acts have continued to engage in their nefarious activities in other parts of the country.

In Bayelsa state, gunmen have successfully abducted a 78-year old mother of a serving commissioner in the state.

The kidnapping, which occurred on Saturday, June 14, 2014 has come not long after the mother of the speaker of the Bayelsa house of assembly, Hon. Kombowei Benson was kidnapped. Both women have not been released.

The abducted Madam Patimi Akene was whisked away by armed men numbering about six at about 12 am on Saturday on her way from a midnight church service.
