A Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State has been abducted by suspected bandits terrorizing the area.
The incident occurred early hours of Monday, June 27, 2022, when the criminal elements operated in the area along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway.
The DPO, who was recently posted to the area, was reportedly on his way to Birnin Gwari to report at his duty post when he was abducted.
This is coming barely four days after bandits abducted a DPO in Nasarawa State and demanded N5 million ransom
