The Chief Registrar of the Rivers State High Court, Mr. Leonard Adoki was on Sunday, November 23, 2014 kidnapped in his village in Amalem-Abua, Abual/Odual Local Government Area by unknown gunmen, Punch reports.
The masked gunmen were said to have ambushed Adoki on his way back from church, forcing him into a waiting vehicle before whisking him away to an unknown destination. The abductors are yet to establish communication with his family.
Ahmed Mohammed, the Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the incident, saying two suspects have so far been arrested in connection with the kidnap, although no solid clue has been forthcoming.
