JUST IN: Kano Assembly’s Minority Leader’s Mother Abducted

Some gunmen have abducted the elderly mother of Isiyaku Ali Danja, the Minority Leader of the Kano State House of Assembly.

Sources say the kidnappers, who abducted the woman around 1 am at Danja Village in the Gezawa Local Government Area of the state, stormed the village in large numbers and made straight for her house.

Isyaku Ali Danja, the lawmaker, confirmed the abduction to journalists on Wednesday, January 12, 2021, noting that the abductors are yet to establish communication with the family.

When called to confirm the story, the Police spokesman, Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa did not respond to the calls.

Gezawa and Minjibir areas of Kano, bordering Jigawa State, are becoming notorious for kidnapping.

The younger brother of Sabo Nanono, sacked Minister of Agriculture, was also kidnapped in the same area.
