The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 announced that ace comedian, Chris Rock will host the 2016 Academy Awards popularly known as the Oscars.
50-year-old Chris Rock last hosted the Academy Awards back in 2005. Speaking after being announced as the host, the comedian said: “I’m so glad to be hosting the Oscars. It’s great to be back.”
He also took to Twitter to make the announcement. “Look who’s back. #Oscars,” he wrote alongside a picture of him holding an Oscar plaque.

ABC will broadcast the 88th Academy Awards live on Sunday, February 28, 2016.
