A young man identified as Okechukwu Ezeigbo from Imo state had reportedly drowned after jumping inside a Lagoon in Lagos state.
The Trent Metro gathered that the deceased had asked the driver of a commercial bus in which he was being conveyed to stop the vehicle at the popular Third Mainland bridge.
The driver reportedly halted and the man alighted from the car with a big bang and incidentally dived into the water.
The incident which took place in the early hours of Thursday, January 29, 2015 around the Iyana Oworo area of the state had left people still in shock.
Some persons alerted the attention of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority who subsequently arrived the scene and pleaded with some fishermen in the area to help rescue the victim.
However, it was rather too late as Ezeigbo had already died, so his corpse was handed in to Adekunle Police Station in the area.
