The Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 demanded that President Muhammadu Buhari share the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) tax among states in a bid to ease the economic crisis plaguing the country.
NGF Chairman, Abdulazeez Yari disclosed to State House correspondents that the demand was made at the inaugural meeting between President Buhari and forum since he assumed office.
34 governors were in attendance with the governors of Bayelsa and Plateau sending representatives.
Asides the NLNG tax, the governors also demanded that all money used to execute federal government projects in respective states which ran into N300 Billion be refunded to the states.
