The Governor of Yobe state, Ibrahim Gaidam, on Monday, July 12, 2015 appointed Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali as the new substantive Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
A statement by the Director of Press to the Governor, Abdullahi Bego, reveals. Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali was, until his appointment, the Permanent Secretary, Administration at the Governor’s Office.
He was recently appointed the Secretary to the State Government in acting capacity, following the dissolution of the State Executive Council (SEC) on May 28, 2015.
Baba Mallam Wali is a Member of the National Institute (MNI). He holds a BA Degree in Geography (1981) and a Masters’ Degree in Rural Development (1986) from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
The appointment is to be effected immediately.
