Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, has issued out a sound warning to those who carry out one or two business activities along the roads, thereby littering the roads with all manner of dirts.
Wike expressed his sad feelings on Thursday, July 22, 2021, to all businessmen and women in the state who cause harm on the roads and also litter it with dirts as he paid a visit to the four different ongoing flyover projects in Port Harcourt and Obio/Akpor local government areas of the state.
Speaking to the journalists who were around, the Rivers State governor frowned at the operations of illegal parks and trading activities around the ongoing flyover project in the state.
Some of these mechanic workshops set up along the roads litter it with grease and condemned motor parts lying freely on the roads. The Rivers State governor made it clear that measures will be taken to tackle such situation, as it doesn’t mean well.
Furthermore, the River state governor stated that henceforth, any business owner caught abusing the road all kind of dirts or turning the roads to private parks, such business will be sealed under the government authorities or government order.
Wike also talked about good management of funds as the key to his success in his first and second tenures as the governor of Rivers State.
