The Delta State governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan has sworn in the 23 newly elected chairmen of Local Governments in the state, urging then to be prudent in managing state funds and restrain from discriminatory activities.
Governor Uduaghan made the call on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the swearing in ceremony for the candidates who won elections in their various Local Government Areas on Saturday, October 25, 2014.
He said: ”Make infrastructure development a priority, let your elections be a blessing to the people and make sure you reside in your local government headquarters so that you can be accessible to the people. As local government chairmen, please, don’t discriminate between those that worked for you or worked against you during the election because, you were elected to serve everybody.”
