Super Eagles skipper, Vincent Enyeama lost his mother, Mrs Lucy Phillip Enyeama sometime in September and therefore opted out of Nigeria’s 2017 African Cup of Nation qualifiers against Tanzania.
A funeral mass was held in honour of Late Mrs. Enyeama at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ika Parish, Ika Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on Saturday, October 3, 2015.
The Akwa Ibom state government sent a powerful delegation to the funeral service as the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, the Deputy Governor Mr. Moses Ekpo (MFR) and the Secretary to the State Government, Sir Etekamba Umoren came out to show support for one of their own.
