Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has appointed Mrs. Ekereobong M. Akpan as the new Head of Service for the state civil service.
Mrs Akpan, who until her appointment was the Permanent Secretary, Hospitals Management Board, takes over from Mrs. Cecilia Udoessien.
The new Head of Service is said to be an experienced and astute administrator, public relations practitioner and a trainer. Her appointment takes effect from November 1, 2015.
A release signed by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor, Mr. Ekerete Udoh, said the Governor has thanked the immediate past Head of Service for her service to the state and bid her the best in future endeavours.
