Barely 24 hours after medical doctor, Ifeyinwa Angbo exposed her husband, Pius Angbo for domestic violence, Governor Samuel Ortom has led them through the path of reconcilliation.
Angbo on Sunday, December 7, 2020 released vidoes sharing details of domestic violence she has endured in her six years of marriage to nthe Channals Television reporter.
Showing her injuries, she disclosed her husband battered her four weeks after they welcomed their fourth child. She added that he sat on her C-section incision and attemted to strangle her.
After the news went viral, Governor Ortom invited Angbo, who is a native of Benue State, and his wife for reconcilliation.
Ortom advised the couple to always settle their differences amicably and shun the temptation of engaging in violence.
The Benue state governor stated that as a young couple with great potential, the husband being a versatile journalist and the wife a medical doctor, there was the need for them to foster a strong union to serve as models to others.
Angbo disclosed he has apologised to his wife and is seeking forgiveness from the entire women folk and would make amends going forward.
Ifeanyinwa reacting to the reconcilliation told reporters that she accepted her husband’s apology because of their young children.
She also called for prayers to enable them grow stronger in love and nurture their kids to maturity.
The medical doctor thanked Governor Ortom for his gracious gesture to make peace between them.
