A 65-year-old man alleged to be an uncle to the incumbent governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, has allegedly battered his second wife to a pulp at No. 21, Akinhanmi Street in the Surulere area of the state after he saw a man’s complimentary card in her possession.

According to reports, Alhaji Kayode B Fashola popularly known as Uncle K, brutally battered his second wife, Yejide Badmus, with whom he has a legal marriage.

Trouble started on the fateful day after Uncle K  saw a complimentary card on his wife’s table and flew into rage.

The highly enraged and overly jealous husband immediately locked her in a room where he beat her to pulp and inflicted severe injuries on her.

Viral reports on various social media stated that the man is characterized with the habit of battering his wife, smoking, drinking and womanizing.

The man was said to have often taken advantage of Governor Fashola’s position to intimidate people with claims that the notion of ‘equality before the law’ does not exist on his part.

Further reports disclosed that the victim has finally walked out of the marriage to save her life.

The estranged wife reportedly shared her story in order to encourage other women who are in abusive relationships to leave before things get worse than expected.

Meanwhile, it is expected that investigations into the alleged reports will take a full force and the suspect tamed if eventually found guilty.
