Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State on Monday, May 25, 2015 dissolved the State Executive Council due to the fact that he is to hand over government, albeit to himself on Friday, May 29, 2015.
He addressed the members of his cabinet at the last council meeting held in Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital and commended all the politcal appointees who supported him immensely, showing full devootion towards helping his administration in order to fullfill its dreams of rebuilding Ogun state.
Ranging from the Secretary of the State Government, Chief of Staff, Commissioners, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Special Advisers, Consultants and Personal Assistants were all part of the council dissolved.
Governor Amosun went further pray to God that He bless all the ougoing members of his cabinet and wished them a successful future towards their filed of endeavours.
Each of the Executive Council members now dissolved shared their experiences in the last four years in turns, and appreciated the outgoing Governor for the opportunity he gave each and every on e of them to serve their state in their various capapcities.
They were also advised to hand over office to the most senior civil servants in their respective ministries, departments and agencies pending appointment of new government officials.
Be it as it may seem, Governor Ibikunle Amosun is to return to his office, having won the last governorship election.
He is to be sworn in by Friday, May 29, 2015.
