The presidential flagbearer under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari had on Sunday, December 14, 2014 paid homage to a former Vice president of Nigeria Atiku Abubakar at his home in Abuja.
Against the 2015 general elections, Atiku contested alongside Buhari, Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano State, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state and the Publisher of Leadership Newspaper, Chief Sam Nda-Isaiah for the party’s presidential primaries on Thursday, December 11, 2014.


Although the former lost to the latter, Atiku reportedly promised to work side by side with him in order to achieve success in his political bid.
Meanwhile, no official statement was issued from the duo regarding the visit but according to Nigeria Tribune, a source close to the meeting said it was part of the efforts to work for the victory of the party ahead the 2015 election.
The source said, “As you can see, APC leaders are forging ahead after the primaries. Buhari is here to meet with the Turaki Adamawa for the way forward.
“In the next few days, APC will surprise all. That is what I can tell you for now.”
