President-elect Muhammadu Buhari may have appointed the Editor-in-chief of The Sun Newspaper, Femi Adeshina as his Special Adviser on media and publicity.
According to Thisday, Shehu Garba who was in-charge of Media and publicity to President-elect Muhammadu Buhari throughout the presidential campaign would be stepping down from that position immediately after the inauguration.
Shehu Garba was former president Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) while Mr. Adeshina was incumbent.
It was gathered that, though the appointment is yet to be confirmed, the management of The Sun Newspaper have concluded plans to restructure its management ahead of the departure of Femi Adeshina.
It would be recalled that this is not the first time a serving (NGE) president would be appointed as the Special Adviser to a sitting leader after former President Olusegun Obasanjo appointed the late Oluremi Oyo.
