The Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido has slammed the incoming APC led administration for already giving excuses for inability to fulfill its campaign promises to Nigerians even when they are yet to take over power.
Speaking at the commissioning of the Jigawa State Independent Electoral Commission (JSIEC), he said that the incoming administration asked Nigerians for patience to implement their electoral promise. That, they cannot do everything overnight and that everything should be done gradually. ” Is it now that they know that everything should be gradual?”
“As Nigerians too we are not going anywhere; we will keep tracking the government’s failures as there will be no tolerance and we must shout at them and they must work for Nigerians. Our government turned Nigeria into a new world; Jigawa State in particular but because of selfish interests they kept sabotaging, blackmailing and intimidating our government,” the governor lamented.
The governor also stressed that he has no regrets after serving two terms in office. He asked the people to thank God for giving them a leader who has transformed the state to the envy of all. He also stated that he is not afraid of being probed by the incoming administration adding that posterity would judge his good deeds.
